Suppose you have a coin, and your goal is to flip it and land heads 10x in a row.
If you flip the coin 10 times, your odds of success are meek - just 1 in 1204, or .008.
Something strange happens though if you keep flipping.
If you flip that same coin 710 times, your odds skyrocket to 50%.
Keep going, and with 5000 flips you reach 99.3%.
At 10,000 flips, your odds of flipping 10 heads in a row at some point are 99.9%, the closest thing you can get to a sure thing.
The lesson: if you want to succeed, keep flipping.
Stick with the process, do it well, and do it long enough — you’re virtually guaranteed to win.
